Our world is like an island of rich people surrounded by a huge ocean of poor people. Some statistics show 350 million children suffer with hunger and there are 30 million homeless in the world. One of the causes of crime, stealing, killing, abuse is because of the hunger and poverty in our society. All of us have a part in making this world a better place to live in. Shekinah Sanctuary is a place where we change lives; bring the helpless, homeless and hopeless children from the streets to shelter, food, clothing and relationship with hope and meaning.

I would like to share a quote that comes to my mind as I contemplate about the work that we are involved in. “The completeness of Christian character is attained when the impulse to help and bless others springs constantly from within. It is the atmosphere of this love surrounding the soul of the believer that makes him a savour of life unto life and enables God to bless his work…” It is not possible for the heart in which Christ abides to be destitute of love. If we love God because He first loved us, we shall love all for whom Christ died. We cannot come in touch with divinity without coming in touch with humanity.”

The scripture says, “If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food and one of you says to them “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled’, but you do not give them the things that are needed for the body, what does it profit?” James 2:15-16.

As a team we envision the hundreds of lives that we can change through Shekinah Sanctuary. But we need your help to make this change imminent and possible.
